Session 6 Week in Review - Week 29
Zoom Gatherings
Some highlights from Zoom Gatherings this week included:
Monday: Monday, Annie facilitated a learner-led launch on pop music, giving learners a chance to discuss what features of pop music make it so popular and relatable. Afterwards, Nebhan led a round of Gimkit for anyone who wanted to play.
Tuesday: Tuesday, learners gathered for Dress Rehearsal. We had so many tech issues with Zoom, wifi, and individual devices, but learners remained calm and problem solved together with Guides to find solutions. Each breakout room team met to discuss roles and order or presentations for Wednesday’s Exhibition.
Wednesday: Wednesday was our last Exhibition for the year! Learners presented some very cool and creative projects, working hard to make their presentations interactive and engaging for their guests! Despite a rough Dress Rehearsal, Exhibition went smoothly!
Thursday: Thursday the Studio gathered together for Reflection Day, where learners read through their Exhibition feedback, reflected on what they did well and what areas they can continue to improve. Each learner also filled out at least one 360 Feedback Form for a learner of their choice.

It looks like Ayub has submitted everything to complete Math for the year - amazing consistency and discipline!
Amara has submitted everything to complete her first LDC on Tennis Basics - a fantastic blend of skill-building and applied learning.
Congratulations to Annie for earning two new Practicals - well done!
Shoutout to Anna for finishing both Quest and Story Arts - strong follow-through!
Ayub delivered a super cool interactive Exhibition based on his Masters of Deception Civ.
Aleem showcased an incredible Titanic build in Minecraft, redesigned using only early 1900s technology, an impressive blend of creativity and historical accuracy.
Zhang Guhuai presented a rocket launch documentary, powered by a mod he built over the last 10 months, a true example of long-term dedication and technical mastery.
Honoring Our Seniors: A heartfelt congratulations to all of our seniors, who gave their final official project presentations at Exhibition. You have been such valuable members of our community. While we are incredibly excited to cheer you on in this next chapter, you will absolutely be missed at FSO Exhibitions.
This week captured everything FSO stands for creativity, persistence, ownership, and meaningful learning that extends far beyond the classroom.
Family Conversation Starters:
Which of the new Quests or Civ sounds most interesting to you—and why?
What does it take to stay committed to a long-term project like Zhang Guhuai’s?
What made this week’s Exhibition projects stand out from others?
How does finishing a major milestone (like a full subject or Practical) feel different from completing smaller tasks?
What would you want your “final Exhibition” to say about you as a learner?
Have a wonderful weekend, FSO Families what an incredible year it has been. We are so proud of every learner and grateful to be part of their journey!
