  • Tuesday: Tuesday, Nadia led a launch on whether or not society is functional, what systems would make it function better, and how free speech impacts a thriving society.

Week 34 Highlights

This week, we celebrate a graduating class that has helped define what The Forest School Online can be at its very best: courageous, deeply human, wildly creative, and unwilling to fit inside narrow definitions of success. Each of these learners carved their own path, and in doing so, left something lasting behind for the community that follows them.

  • Annie: Annie brought life into every room she entered. Whether through music, theater, animals, reenactment, or simply her sense of humor, she reminded us that passion is meant to be lived fully, not politely contained. Her journey was not always straightforward, but once she realized learning could be built around the things that made her come alive, everything changed. Watching Annie transform her gifts and interests into real expertise and entrepreneurship has been a beautiful thing to witness.

  • Lucia: Lucia’s story has never been about ease. It has been about endurance, rebuilding, and learning how to keep moving forward even when the path felt uncertain. What makes her journey remarkable is not perfection, but persistence. She learned how to remain in the arena long enough to discover who she really was underneath the pressure to have everything figured out. The result is someone stepping into adulthood not just accomplished, but deeply self-aware, resilient, and ready to build something meaningful in the world.

  • Shriya: Shriya has always carried a rare balance of brilliance and steadiness. She moves effortlessly between creativity and analysis, between imagination and precision. Yet what has defined her most is the way she quietly strengthens the people around her. Shriya leads without needing attention, serves without needing recognition, and approaches life with both discipline and heart. She is the kind of person who leaves every space stronger than she found it.

  • Amara: Amara entered FSO with warmth, confidence, and a willingness to fully engage in the experience ahead of her. Throughout the year, she showed what happens when talent is matched with discipline and courage. She brought both kindness and professionalism into every interaction while continuing to grow as an artist, leader, and scholar. Amara carries herself with purpose, and it is clear she is only at the beginning of a story that will continue to impact many people.

  • Tai: Taina has spent her life collecting experiences the way some people collect souvenirs — fully, fearlessly, and with genuine curiosity. From leadership roles to entrepreneurship to travel and creative pursuits, she embraced opportunities not because they were easy, but because life itself fascinated her. She embodies the spirit of someone who understands that growth happens through movement, risk, and saying yes to the world around you.

  • Joshua: Joshua has been part of this community since the founding year, growing steadily from middle school into high school while balancing real-world responsibility alongside his education. Through helping manage his family’s business and quietly developing independence over time, he has shown that growth does not always happen loudly — sometimes it happens through consistency, reliability, and simply continuing to show up.

  • Rollins: Rollins helped shape the very foundation of the high school studio from the beginning. Creative, innovative, and endlessly willing to help others, he brought both technical skill and generosity into the community. Whether through digital art, technology, cybersecurity, or simply encouraging those around him, Rollins has consistently used his talents not only to create, but to contribute.

This graduating class reminds us that education is not simply about completing requirements. It is about becoming. Becoming resilient. Becoming courageous. Becoming someone capable of building a meaningful life rooted in both purpose and possibility.

To our graduates: thank you for trusting us enough to grow here. Thank you for building this community alongside us. And thank you for showing everyone watching that there is more than one way to live an extraordinary life. 🌟
