A Day In The Life
Our monthly rhythm balances live mentoring, independent exploration, and real-world learning, ensuring screen time is purposeful and meaningful.
Mentorship & Goal Setting – Learners check in with their Running Partners (accountability buddies) and Guides to set personal learning milestones, refine their Badge Plans, and track progress.
Badge Plan Work & Independent Learning – Learners advance their self-designed studies at their own pace, whether it's coding an app, writing a novel, researching history, or building a business. They engage in projects, explore curated resources, and work toward earning micro-credentials.
Collaborative Feedback & Real-World Application – Throughout the month, learners share their work in peer critique circles, expert feedback sessions, and showcase events to refine their skills and deepen understanding.
Learning Beyond the Screen – Education isn’t limited to a laptop. Learners take field trips, complete apprenticeships, engage in hands-on projects, and even travel, applying their learning in meaningful ways.
This flexible, self-directed model ensures learners receive guidance, build real-world skills, and take ownership of their education—no matter where they are in the world.
Our School Year At A Glance
Our school year runs from early August to late May, divided into seven sessions of three to six weeks, each followed by a one-week break.
During each session, learners dive into new topics through three hands-on experiences: Quest, Story Arts, and Civilization. These projects tackle real-world issues and build important skills. At the end of each session, learners showcase their work in a public Exhibition for friends, family, and industry experts.
This structure allows for deep, meaningful learning while giving learners the chance to explore a wide range of topics. You can view our current calendar here.
