Zoom Gatherings

Some highlights from Zoom Gatherings this week included:

  • Wednesday: Wednesday, learners invited their Dream Teams to join for After-Action Reviews. Each learner presented their progress, growth, reflections, and goals for the future to their Dream Team. It was a great time for reflection and renewed commitment to goals for the coming year.

  • Friday: Friday the Studio gathered together for the Virtual Commencement & End of Year Celebration! We had the opportunity to celebrate the learners who advanced from Middle to High School, and to honor our seven Seniors. Congratulations to the Class of 2026! 

Week 36 Highlights

As we close out this school year, we simply want to say: thank you.

Thank you, families, from the bottom of our hearts for choosing to come along with us on this wild ride that is The Forest School Online. Thank you for your grace as we built, adjusted, experimented, and grew together. Thank you for your honest feedback, your encouragement, and most of all, your trust. It has been — and will continue to be — an incredible honor to work with your families and support your learners.

We would also like to give a huge THANK YOU to every learner who showed up for and completed their After Action Reviews. We know this time of year is busy. We know many of you are running low on steam and ready for summer. Please know that we see your effort, we value it, and we deeply appreciate it.

This year, we are celebrating not just accomplishments, but perseverance:

  • the learners who revised and resubmitted their work instead of giving up

  • the learners who chose integrity even when shortcuts would have been easier

  • the learners who finished the year strong despite challenges, setbacks, or difficult seasons

  • the learners who experienced major moments of growth and worked with guides to create summer plans that will help position them for success in August

Those victories matter. In many ways, they matter the most.

To the learners and families whose journeys are taking them beyond FSO next year: we are rooting for you wholeheartedly. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your story. We hope you leave knowing that you are capable of more than you realize and that your path does not need to look like anyone else’s to be meaningful and extraordinary.

And to those returning next year: we cannot wait to continue building alongside you. The future of this community is bright because of the young people inside it.
